Saving or Copying a pic!
I don't know where else to go with this, so I hope someone here can help me out. I want to copy and print a pic on the net that is secured. It wont let me copy, paste nor save it. Now, about a year ago I had some free software I used to take a snaphot of the desktop page being viewed. For the life of me I don't remember the name or the site I got it from. But, all it was is a program that allowed you to take a photo or snapshot of the page being viewed. Can anyone help me out? A name of a program or the type of software i'm looking for. Thanks, any help will be appreciated!

There's a program called fraps that allows you to make video clips of anything that's being viewed at the time such as a game or the desktop. I would imagine that it would allow you to take single snaps as well.
Other than that I would suggest pressing the 'print screen' key when you are looking at the image of the desktop that you want to capture. Then all you do is open a wordpad document and select paste and the image will trasfer to the document. I have no idea how to change the image to a jpeg or gif though. |

I've tried the print, copy, paste and everything else i could think of and nothing. the only thing it allowed me to do was view a pic of it in mytemp folder, but when you enlarge it, it's all distorted. I need the pick as it is on the screen. I once had some sort of program called something like PhotoX or SnapX. And as I said all it did was take a snaphot of whatever was being viewed at the time. I'll try what you have suggested and see if it works, Thanks!

Yepp i'd also suggest the "print screen" screenshot way. You really dont need a special program to take screen shots.
Instead of wordpad i would paste it into any type of image editing program though... paint, corel draw, photoshop - i dont know what you have. There you can edit it the way you want. BUT i'd also check something else. If you can go on a website and can view a pic - it has to be downloaded by your browser and i bet you can find it in your I.E. history folder. If you find it there at least you have the "real pic" instead of maybe losing some quality with the screenshot way.
