gateway lcd monitor
hi, i have a gateway lcd monitor, model number FPD1510. the monitor comes on, and displayes a single blue line going down the left side of the screen, about an inch away from the edge. when i turn the computer on, nothing changes- i don't see the bios summary and i don't see the windows xp boot screen. when it doots up and i know when the desktop is here, the screen displays 2 white sections down the screen, and a bunch of other colored lines shooting down the screen. i fear the worst, but i would like to know if this is fixable- i don't have $100 to spend on a new monitor. thanks for the help.

Re: gateway lcd monitor
Easiest way to determine the problem, try another monitor on your PC or try your monitor on another PC.
If it is the monitor and it is repairable you would probably be looking at the price of a new monitor.

is it possible that a diode in the power supply could be causing this? because i don't see any dead pixels on the monitor, and it worked perfectly just Saturday- but Sunday, when i plugged it in and turned it on, the symptoms began to happen thus, leading me to propose that a diode may have burned out in the power supply
