DVD issues

I was wondering if you know some diagnostic freeware to check out a DVD player that is doing odd things?

The Nero suite contains a program called CD-DVD Speed which tests your drive's capabilities (transfer rate, access times, burst rate, etc). You can get a standalone version for free from here.

Yeah...the video flickers slightly and the sound is disrupted while playing a DVD. On CD's the sound is disrupted. Thanks...Darrell

Post back with the results from CD-DVD Speed. Also, you could try a lens cleaner.
