[SOLVED] Extra mouse buttons stopped working
Hi,
I have a laser mouse with a chord, it has a few extra buttons than the average mouse. There are two buttons on the side of the mouse that do things like send the internet browser back or forward a page, but now they don't work all of a sudden. Normally I'd just think the mouse itself has broken, but the first time this happened windows wouldnt let me click at all (running windows vista sp2), even after restarting - wherever I clicked it wouldn't register that I'd clicked there, it only started letting me click again after I pressed ctrl-alt-delete and I opened the task manager, after which it for no apparent reason starting registering mouse clicks again. So is it possible (or likely) that the two extra buttons could've been somehow "unprogrammed", or is it just likely the mouse has just broken? Edit: Oh, now I feel dumb. I unplugged the mouse and plugged it back in, and now the buttons work again. >.> Sorry! Last edited by DemonLordTyrus; 09-30-2009 at 06:55 AM. |
