[SOLVED] refurbished....any good?

Hey guys..i couldn't find any other place to ask this...so forgive me if this is the wrong thread to post this!
Im looking at getting a refurbished desktop...im wondering if they're any good?
Here's the system i was looking at:

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...gon=&langid=EN

Being refurbished id get the service plan for 2 years on the desktop...just in case anything did go wrong. Espically with the warranty being only for 90 days.
How does it look?
It has everything id want...just wondering if refurbished units are any good?

Re: refurbished....any good?

With the warranty $1020.

You need to review the original specs (check out who made the mobo, etc, and read about them).

Read the reviews at the shop(s) selling the refurb(s).

Re: refurbished....any good?

HP is OK but they have the same faults as all other prebuilt PCs.
They use substandard parts to give the customer more bang for the buck and are generally not upgradeable.
You could build better for considerably less expense.

Re: refurbished....any good?

hmmm i think i might go with a new Dell...refurbished makes me weary of how long it will last...and quality. So a new Dell i think would do nicely. Thanks guys!
