Power Supply Recomending Help

I currently have a stock 420w Raidmax PSU that came along with my Raidmax Scoprio case. So far it seems to be working great. I went out and bought a 580w Demon or whatever with red LED fans for $33USD however it did not start when i had my video card plugged in. Which suprised me cuz its supposed to be 580w and mycurrent one is 420w. Either way it didnt work. So I was wondering if anyone could recomend me to a good PSU that can handle everything that I have PLUS more stuff. My price range would prolly go from 50-100 bucks. Also I want a PSU that would fit along with my Black case which has a Red theme going on inside. So a red and black PSU would be sweeet. Thanks for any help....

I usually recommend Enermax or Antec but here is a good article.

The Ultra and the Coolmax look good but not the MGE. I would think twice about that choice. They are know for cheap PSUs.
