Floppy Data Recovery?
Okay. I have tried everything, short of going to a computer shop or spending 40 bucks to buy a data recovery program. I have one file (a very important one) on a floppy disk that will not open in any computer (I have tried several). Other files on this disk will open, just not this particular file. It is a Word document of about 8 pages, single-spaced typing. I have tried copying it to the desktop, creating a shortcut to it, opening a read-only file, etc, but the same recurring message I get is that the document is an invalid path or file name. I ran a scan using the free trial version of "BadCopy Pro," a floppy data recovery program, and it said that 97.8% of the file would be recoverable, but since it was a trial version, I could not open or re-save the document, without paying 40 bucks to buy the program. Any other suggestions out there as to what I could do to get this Word document back? Any free programs that would work? Stupidly, I did not print a hard copy and I do not have it backed up on the hard drive or elsewhere. Thank you very much in advance. :)
