ViewSonic VX922 Monitor - No Power

I've owned this ViewSonic LCD monitor for a couple of years now and this problem has come about just recently. One night I shut off the monitor before going to sleep as I always do and when I went to turn it on the next day it acted as if there was no power going to it. Hitting the power button did nothing - no green light, no orange light, nothing. So it's not a video problem, it's a power problem. I tried 3 different power cords, I tried different outlets, I tried not using a power strip and I made sure the power cord was properly connected every time. Throughout the day I was trying this but it was all the same result. Four days go by and I decide to try it again and it worked fine - plugged it in using one of the previous power cords I had already tried at a random outlet and it was just fine so I went back to using it normally. But now, after a couple of days of using the monitor again, the same problem has occurred and I can't get it to turn on once again after leaving it off overnight.

After contacting ViewSonic support, the only kind of non-obvious troubleshooting they could provide was doing a power cycle: unplugging the monitor and holding down the power button for a minute but this was no help either.

Any advice you can give would be great, thanks.
