Acer Aspire 3680 Continuous Stop Error

Hello,

I recently came across an acer aspire 3680. Everytime I reinstall windows it runs fine with nothing on it. Once I begin to add things and update sooner or later is begins giving me an error.

"Stop error, 0x000000f4" Physical Crash Dump
Contact you administrator, blah blah blah...

I haven't run chdsk yet but I'm going to. I'm aware these laptops are junk and I have already done some things to try preventing this from happening. However, it still occurs.

Thing's I've tried:
1. Repairing installation, failed.
2. New installations, failed.
3. Flashed new bios, bios update worked, still crashes.

Anything would be helpful, however, after exstensive research I have found that it may be the hard drive failing, as when I installed some things I heard a loud grinding type of noise which I've heard from previous bad hard drives.

Try this:
Stop: 0x000000F4
There are afew suggestions there.
If not you can goto MSKB. It won't help you, but if you need to be cheered up, it's good for a laugh.

Thank's for the reply. After looking at all different suggestions, I have found what it is.

1. Failing HD
2. New MB battery

All others are ruled out. I noticed it happens when I'm saving to the HD or running a program from the HD.
