Re: monitor resolution
It's a dell pc with a Nvidia GeForce9800 graphics card. i dont exactly know what you mean by the max resolution, but the largest i can set it to in display settings is 1920x1440, and the one that it says i should have it on for the monitor is 1366x768. yes, i have all the latest drivers installed.

Re: monitor resolution
*everything gets real small and i can barely read stuff*
That is completely normal and that's what the higher resolutions do. It appears that everything is working correctly. Find a resolution that you are comfortable with.

Re: monitor resolution
Update your graphics driver to the latest version, then go to Control Panel > Display > Settings tab > Advanced button > Adapter tab and click the 'List All Modes' button. Does it list 1366x768?
I'm using an 8800GT (very similar to your 9800) with the latest GeForce driver, and the closest mine has to your preferred resolution is 1360x768.

Re: monitor resolution
alright, i tried doing that and now i have a bigger problem.
first of all, my computer doesnt recognize any driver to be present in the Dxdiag window. then i go and check my device manager and is says i have a standard VGA graphics adapter. nowhere can i find my nVidia GeForce9800, which i know i have. and lastly, i have a game on my computer i want to run but i get a error message that i need atleast directX9 and need to have the latest graphics driver updates. i know i have directX10 and on the nvidia site i clicked on the button that would automaticly find my latest updates and it stated that my standard VGA is the latest. also the standard vga graphics adapter message is displayed with a ! in the device manager |

Re: monitor resolution
What is the model number of the Dell?
Device Manager is indicating a problem with the Graphics Driver.

Re: monitor resolution
If it's saying that you're using the standard VGA driver, it means the GeForce driver has not been installed correctly or you haven't rebooted yet.
Latest GeForce 190.62 Vista 64 driver for the 9 series: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_wi...0.62_whql.html Install, then reboot to complete the process.

Re: monitor resolution
Are you sure you're using 64 bit Vista?
Have you rebooted?
