Re: Dvd rom Detection Failure
Thanks for reply, well I have replaced both (Power & Data) cables but no difference same result. Yes it was working previously and I never used dvd rom too much I always use rom for boot purpose to boot with 98 bootable. I have made snaps of bios check out in attachment:

Re: Dvd rom Detection Failure
Change the jumper on the back of the DVD drive from Master to Slave, then attach it to the middle connector on the hard drive's IDE cable.
If it's still not recognised in BIOS, test the DVD drive in another computer (using the appropriate Master/Slave setting).

Re: Dvd rom Detection Failure
Koala, I already applied this idea "to change jumper on the back of the DVD from Master to Slave" no difference ok I applied another idea by myself as you know about data cables of hard drive and CD/DVD are same so I changed the HDD data cable and put into CD/DVD slot on main board and DVD cable connected in hdd slot so it is showing both (HDD and DVD drives) are detected normally in bios but I am unable to boot hdd through dvd position, when I try to boot by selecting boot from cd/dvd position (hdd) it is showing "operating system error". Thanks by the advise.
