Speaker problems, constant hiss emanating from a 2.1 setup.
When I turn the Windows Volume up to higher than 55-60 I can hear crackling, and hissing to the point of headaches because of how annoying it is, unless I am playing a film, DVD, etc. When I scroll with the mouse, it gets louder, as if there was a response from the mouse movement.
The speakers are USB, and also the green audio jack. I have used different configurations concerning the USB ports used, in order to determine if that was it. I have installed many different drivers (although there are none for Windows 7 x64, but this problem was also apparent with the same PC running Windows Vista x86 and x64) I have googled to no end, and now, when I play Oblivion (so far I have tested this game) it is so subtle, yet annoying as it becomes more than a hiss, and within 10 minutes, everyone in the room had a headache during the game. Seriously, that kind of subliminal. I know this is not an easy fix, but if someone knows one, please let me know. Here is the information usually required. I have a 2.1 Philips Ambx speaker system (the starter kit), running Windows 7 x64. My PC is as follows. Asus P6T Core i7 Onboard Audio, and Network 12 GB RAM Wireless Mouse, and Keyboard, manufactured by Gateway BD-R Drive, and 3 Hard Drives, all powered by an 850 Watt Thermaltake. |
