Webcam Problem

Gents,

I'm trying to get a Logitech webcam to function on my computer and it's giving me some grief.

I've got a Logitech (I think it's Quickcam). The serial on the tag is as follows:

P/N: 861210-0000
PID: LN55085

I've installed what I think to be the latest drivers/software (version 1150 if I recall) and it installed the program just fine. However, when I plug the webcam into the computer, it continues to tell me that it can't find it and won't operate the video. Am I doing something wrong? Bad drivers? I'm trying to video chat with my family back in the states today and didn't anticipate this issue.

...technology hates me, apparently. :P
