Need a good PSU
Hey so I have a thread in the Windows XP support and my computer overheats, they told me that I need a new PSU, I currently have 2GB of RAM, E8400 Intel and ATI RADEON 4850HD 512MB and I have 550W, apperantly I need 700W PSU, and I want a price in the range of 150$ because I cannot buy in any higher price, unless its a 20$ that will really feel in quality, I would like a PSU from http://canadacomputers.com/index.php...&cmd=pl&id=PSU, as I said I have a pretty good computer, and I play heavy games, like Far cry 2, Call of Duty 4, Team Fortress 2, and many other heavy games like Crysis, so I need a power supply that will be able to handle my computer without any crashes or freezes.
Also if you maybe know a better place where I can buy PSUs (In Canada) your suggestion would be appriciated. Thanks in advance! |

Re: Need a good PSU
If I had to choose a power supply in that range, here is the one I would choose from this store. It is simply about as good as it gets for the price:
http://canadacomputers.com/index.php...09&cid=PSU.532 BTW, I know you specified this store, but there is a NewEgg Canada which might save you some bucks. Note: That same power supply is $114.00 after mail in rebate at NewEgg Canada, so that is cheaper than the one you found. Most of the Hardware team members purchase their items from NewEgg USA and they are simply a great company with the best prices in most instances.

Re: Need a good PSU
The Corsair 750 will be fine with your current setup and leaves room for some expansion.
From Newegg Canada: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX $114.99 Note: The Rebate is a credit card good for future purchases of Corsair products ONLY. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817139006
