Modem trouble

So, i've got a Scientific Atlanta modem and I use a linksys wireless router. My modem reset itself, for whatever reason, and usually when I reset it myself, the power light stays solid, and the Receive/Send-Data lights flash until it loads up. When it's fully loaded, i've got the power/cable lights solid and the receive/send-data lights flashing.

This time though, only the power light came on and the rest didn't flash. I unplugged it, left it for 10 minutes, then replugged it and still the same. Now, we're talking about the modem, not router. I'd like to resolve the issue myself and not have to call the cable company which provides my service.... if it's possible. If not, oh wells. Any help is much appreciated.

Re: Modem trouble

Hello,

If the modem isn't showing connectivity then you could have a problem with the

signal entering the home.Without the cable light you will have to call the cable company.
