Dual Monitors Question

I am looking to get a 2nd monitor so I can use dual monitors.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7300LE and on the back of my computer case there are 2 ports. 1 is the normal blue one that I use for my monitor now, and then there is one that is white.

Also, in my Monitor Display settings it gives me the option for dual monitors.

So I'm pretty sure I can use dual monitors, but what about video cards? Will I need another one or am I good with one? Will I need adapters, etc.

Basically just let me know what I need to do to accomplish dual monitors.

Thanks in Advance

Re: Dual Monitors Question

you may need an adapter - DVI to VGA -(cheap as - $10-$15) if your video card has 1 blue (VGA) and one white (DVI) socket - depends on what cabling comes with your second monitor.

Re: Dual Monitors Question

I would like to have dual monitors because I edit photos/videos, game, and like to instant message, etc. when I am doing those things.

I was looking to get something bigger than my 15" but now that you mention it looking nicer I would rather have 2 same size monitors than like 1 20" and 1 15" lol. But I will look into getting the same monitor as I have now.

Thanks for the help
