CD/DVD drive - Sound issues

Hello, not sure if this is where I should post this but here goes.

I recently decided to buy a new Full Tower case, 600W Power Supply, 5Fans for my old PC and had moved everything onto the new case. my PC is a Compaq Presario SR5030NX, Pentium 4 Processor, 3GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 8800 512 GTS. not sure what other info I am missing. The motherboard fits inside the Case but the Graphics card won't sit properly all the way now so theres probably not much I can do about that. Now everything worked fine for 2 days until these Two problems occurred.

1: My Sound Stopped working, I tried adding hardware and didn't work, I reinstalled drivers and it didnt work, I made sure cables were set properly and they were fine, I checked the BIOS and it's set to "Auto" detect If i remember correctly. It's a Realtek HD Audio Device

2:My CD/DVD drive suddenly stopped working, It wont turn on at all now, the IDE cables were set correctly, Power cord is connected, I had connected it like it was before in my old case. it won't show in BIOS, Device Manager and I tried "Add hardware" but nothing worked. , It's a

I'm out of ideas and I had tried looking online to see if I can find possible solutions but nothing worked and its been a week so I thought it's best if I tried posting my problem.

Edit: I even tired system restore but nothing worked.
