rather strange keyboard problem
when i press my " key it wont appear until i press another key and even when it does it sometimes changes the letter so if i press " then a i get ä. If anyone knows what could be causing this please respond so that i may fix this problem.

Look at your startbar (the thing on the bottom) and by the system tray do you have a language up? Examples: EN for english, RU for russian, JP for japanese( IF its japanese you'll have two other icons, but I know its not). etc..
In most cases, like Dutch and German and Spanish the ` key changes to accent mark keys, like that one A you keep getting. You can also change your keyboard settings in the control panel by Start -> control panel and Clock, language, and Region's sub category "Change keyboards or other input methods", then Change Keyboards... From here you can remove the other languages if you accidentally added them. That should fix your problem, if its a language problem. If it isn't this repost with some more computer specs and we will get it. |

well sometimes it works fine and other times it doesnt and i get the problem i mentioned. The language was fine.
My keyboard is a Logitech Wave keyboard, Vista with latest updates, 3gb ram, AMD Athlon(tm) 64x Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20GHz, 32-bit OS. If you need any more specs just tell me. |
