Exclamation PC Display Problem

Hello.

Specs:

HP Pavilion
Windows XP Media Center 2002
Service Pack 3

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual
Core Processor 3800+
2.00 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM

Display:

HP vs17 flat panel monitor
NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 512MB

Problem:

For the past few days my display has been having these weird pixel patterns popping up everywhere. They disappear and reappear elsewhere, even in games and video.

What could be wrong? Is it the monitor or something else?

Re: PC Display Problem

It appears to be a grahics problem. Is the graphics card cooling fan free of dust and working properly.

Re: PC Display Problem

you probably need to update your graphics drivers. go to nvidias website and check for your latest drivers. i bet that is your problem.

Re: PC Display Problem

I checked my graphics card cooling fan, it's free of dust. I'm not sure of how to test to see if it's working properly while in use, but I know that it can move without a problem from the inside.

The graphics driver is up to date. The problem is still there.
