Computer Stalling Issue

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with a stalling after 15 minutes use of my computer. Generally I'll be in the middle of something and the screen freezes and nothing will happen. Its getting very annoying. Would anyone have any advice for me?

My specs are:
Motherboard: Asus M2A-VM HDMI, AMD 690G+SB600, HDMI, Socket-AM2,m-ATX,DDR2,Firewire,PCI-Ex16
LG DVD±RW burner, GSA-H62NRB, SATA, Dual, Black and White
Gainward GeForce 8600GT 256MB GDDR3, PCI-Express, 1.0ns, 625+/1800Mhz+, GLH
Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM
OCZ Platinum DDR2 PC6400 2048MB KIT, w/two 1024MB PC6400 XTC, CL4-5-4-15
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ 2.1GHz Socket AM2 1MB, BOXED w/fan
Windows XP SP3

What I've done so far to fix the problem:
I've reinstalled windows, didn't fix the problem.
I've replaced the RAM.
I've a new CPU on order to see if that was the problem.

Would anyone else have any ideas?

Re: Computer Stalling Issue

Hello,

Post the temps and voltage from the BIOS.

List the make/model of the PSU including wattage.

Re: Computer Stalling Issue

I would be suspicious of the Apevia PSU.....Not a quality unit.

Re: Computer Stalling Issue
