[SOLVED] No Monitor Signal
I just bought a brand new computer and seem to be having some problems with getting a signal to a monitor. I have two flat screen monitors (all I have are VGA cables for each) both of which work on my older computer (I just checked both). Neither of them receive a signal from the new computer. I know the new computer works because it was the display model at the business I bought it at 30 minutes ago, but for some reason it isnt working for me. The computer seems to be running fine when I turn on the power so im not sure if its some sort of problem with the VGA cable or somehow the computer broke in the time I unwrapped it.
My new computer is a Gateway GT5658E with the following specs. -OS Windows Vista Home Prem. -3Gb DDR2 Dual Channel RAM -ATI Radeon HD 2400XT Video card -AMD Phenom 9500 processor -1 Tb HD One of my monitors is a Gateway and the other is a Samsung if that matters. Any ideas are greatly appreciated, im going to go buy a DVI cable right now to see if that does anything. |
