Wierd computer startup issue.

Ok, last night i was lanning at my friends house and my computer was working fine. but then i brought my computer home and when i boot up it starts goin through it just fine but then after the windows loading screen the monitor just goes into standby mode.. I have no idea why it would suddenly start doing that. I tried reseating my video card and replugging a bunch of stuff back in to see if maybe something came loose, but nothing worked.

Specs :
ASUS A8V Deluxe Motherboard
AMD64 3500+
1024 MB DDR3200 Kingston RAM
Geforce 6800 GT 256MB
Antec 550w Powersupply
120gig Western Digital Hard Drive.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I gather you were using your friends monitor. If so, you OS would have installed a new driver. To fix, you might need to start in safe mode and in device manager click on monitor amd you should see plug and play. right click and select properties and try roll back driver.
