Re: how to hook up
One router is all that is needed. Two will cause problems. If you require wireless service just use the CompUSA router.
What type of Internet service do you have now? Your service provider will need the MAC Address from the Modem to activate your service. Are you inquiring how to install the items or how to set them up after they are installed? What type(s), and how many, PC's are you planning to connect?

Re: how to hook up
See how much this helps:
http://www.homenethelp.com/web/howto/net.asp . . and, as Tyree said, you do not need both the linksys router and comp usa wireless broadband router . . just use the wireless router

Re: how to hook up
You may, however, get more security protection from 2 routers, but it does make configuring settings more difficult.

Re: how to hook up
I guess it wouldn't work with the other wireless router?
First off, are you currently signed up with your ISP for Internet?

Re: how to hook up
The cable modem should have a coaxial line, which would plug into the coaxial outlet. Then, the Linksys router would plug into the modem, and then the Comp USA router into the the Linksys router via Ethernet cable. The computers would be connected to the LAN ports of the Linksys router.

Re: how to hook up
Using both routers is asking for problems and there is nothing to be gained.
Use the wireless router if you need/want wireless but the Linksys is a better router so use it if you do not need/want wireless. If the router has a install disc (Linksys do) they usually need to be run before any connections are made and the instructions will walk you through the connections and setup. Connections are : Connect a R45J Ethernet cable to the Ethernet Port on the Modem. Connect the other end of the R45J cable to the WAN port on the router. Connect your PC(s) into any of the LAN ports on the Router.
