well a few items may be needed to help better understand the situation.
what kind of PC do you have? what's the speed of the processor? how much PHYSICAL RAM do you have? what OS you have running also if you have win98/98se/2k/XP then go into start menu -> run [or you can access it by hitting the ~[:] (<- lame attempt at the windows key)] so hit winkey + R for the keyboard short cut in the run command type "msconfig" without the "" of course and open the startup tab and and uncheck things you know startup in the taskbar that you don't really need in the task bar. such as AOL, or other misc programs like Printer Icons. or what you could do is post what the list has in it's opening processes... and we or i can help you better understand what ones won't be needed at startup. if you do that. it would be helpful to know [if you know] what the different filenames refer to the programs i.e. avgcc = AVG A/V Control Center thanks and welcome to TSF.com |
