[SOLVED] need a new dvd/cd drive

Hello folks,

I have an old dell desktop and the cd/dv d drive went kapoot.
I went on newegg.com and found some decent deals for app. 25 dollars.
before i go ahead and make a purchase i would like to know if there is any thing specific i need to watch out for? or will any drive pretty much do the job?

If its a older pc, you will have to make sure whether or not its a ide
drive, or sata...older=ide, most newer are sata...

Thanks for pointing that out. as it turns out, my p.c. has an ide drive.
I would have ordered the wrong type.

Your welcome! Ive sometimes forgot about the sata and ide thing
myself, get the part home, and no worky....
