IBM Thinkpad monitor has red hue
When my laptop comes out of sleep mode, the monitor has a red hue for a few seconds before returning to normal. Any ideas?

A reddish hue on an LCD screen is indicitive of a bad CCFL backlight. Yours will likely be dead within a month. This can be replaced fairly easily. Just find some good detailed instructions. They are out there on the net, so I won't go into detail here.
