USB Netgear Dongler problems

Hi there first of all sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section.

I'm trying to install my Netgrear WG111v2 usb wireless dongler and I did the stupid thing first of all of inserting it without installing the drivers and software for it first.

So now everytime I connect it to the computer xp makes the "usb problem sound" and does nothing.

I was wondering if there was a way that I can remove the information xp has for it already so I can install.. dont really feel like installing xp again just for one usb device. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: USB Netgear Dongler problems

Hello,

Click Start > Run > type devmgmt.msc

When Device Manager loads look for the Netgear Device and remove it.

Although you should be able to choose update driver and browse the cd to

install the Driver.
