Uneven brightness on my Asus LCD
Hello everyone. Recently, I purchased my first LCD ever, a 22" Asus LCD (the VW224U to be exact). All was well except the upper half of the screen is a bit too dark while the bottom is too bright and looks washed out. I thought my monitor was defective, so I got a replacement, and the same issue was there. Is this problem common in most LCD's? Or could it a problem with Asus monitors in general? I don't really have any other experience with other LCD's, so any help would be greatly appreciated, as would any advice on a good LCD monitor in the 19-22" range that doesn't have uneven brightness.
![]() Edit: Forgot to mention, the brightness is uneven at any viewing angle, and at any time of day. Last edited by Benmarkos; 05-08-2009 at 03:40 PM. |
