Hi all,
I'm running a data logging program on a embedded pc runnning win2000. The data comes in via a RS232 cable, through a USB converter and into the pc's USB port. The data comes in 24/7 and is fairly hefty, the rs232 runs at 230400 kb/s. About twice a month for no specific reason the converter craps out. I have to remove the usb device and replace it before I can restart the loggin programs. Any ideas on what the problem is? Maybe some kind of flow control problem? Any way I can check? Any help would be appreciated, this has really been bugging me. |

Re: Random USB-Serial converter crashes
The pc doesn't have any pci slots; it's built to be small and live in the field. It's windows 2000 workstation. Sorry for the late reply, I've been running around outside for a while.
