I have successfully transferred multiple video files over to my PC (xp) and I am creating and editing movies in cyberlink power express. My problem is that all my files appear to be mixed up and have various types of labels. they are all MOV files but some are just numbers, some are numbers and letters and nothing is in order. I transferred several basketball games and I can't figure out which clips go together.

Re: JVC Enverio camcorder
JVC Everio cameras do have a strange ordering/naming system for their files - I have an Everio also and have found this problem.
In the latest manual I have it gives an explanation of the naming sequence for files - unfortunately the camera and its manual are at work so can't access it til monday. You could go to Play setting on your camera, and for each image press info button and it will cycle through various pieces of infromation on each file - file name, date & time being amongst that. If you have the time you could write them down and then sort them on your timeline in order. When you download the files (which should be .MOD not .mov files BTW) you only need the .MOD files from the SD_VIDEO > Program 001 folder - sort the files according to type by Right clicking in the folder and select sort by then select Type - this will group all the MOD files together for you to download. Hope this helps PS download the manual from the JVC site as a PDF if you don't have one.

Re: JVC Enverio camcorder
Thanks for the reply and info. I will try to sort and record order from the camera before transferring again. But I don't understand the MOV vs MOD files. They transferred over as MOV files but when I import them into cyberlink director express, they import as MOD files. I'll look through my manual again and see if they discuss the different types of files, if not, I'll try to download a more current manual. I like the camera a lot but I'm just having trouble sorting and creating a correct sequence movie.
