some hardware questions
Hello everyone :)
I am sorry about posting this thread here but I dunno where exactly it belongs. *and sorry about my terrible english too* While trying to burn a cd in my niece's puter, it asks whether to turn DMA on and I dunno what choice to make. Neither do I know how to turn DMA on or off, so could someone with a few minutes to spare shed some light on this please? Is there some site which caters to beginners in puters? Sort of like windows/pc's for dummies kinda place? I mean places where they answer what things like SCSI, IDE, SATA are and their differences etc? I dont want to keep annoying the puter gurus here asking such trivial things about the very basic stuff. Again, my apologies. Do drop in with replies, pretty please :) |
