Monitor stopped working.
Hello! I bought a 22' Inch Samsung Syncmaster 2232 BW Plus monitor from Best Buy around September 10th of 2008. Around December or so, when I would wake up in the morning and go to turn it on, the screen would blink for 30-40 minutes before the picture on the monitor was clear. It did this for quite a few days. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it or what to do, so I just boxed it back up and asked a friend to look at it for me. That friend ended up moving away before getting to it, and it just set in my garage for some time. I did not purchase a warranty with Best Buy, but I'm sure Samsung still has one. But now I have another problem too. I went to plug it in a few minutes ago, just using the power cord, and it wouldn't even turn on. I don't remember if you needed the other cord as well, to tell if you can or can not turn it on. Maybe its due to the fact that it was out in the garage and exposed to temperature drops and what not. We had an ice storm back in February, so maybe thats it. As well as all that, I am missing the cord that hooks the monitor to the computer. What is that called? Can I purchase a new one? Also, what do I do with the monitor? Please help!

Re: Monitor stopped working.
The missing cable is the video cable. It will not power up until this is connected and the computer sends a signal to power up.
I moved this from the hard drive section because it is not a hard drive problem.
