DVD Drive
Hi,
I bought a computer game called Jade Empire, the game is on a DVD, i put it into my DVD drive and nothing happened, it does not even recognize the disc. I had literally just opened the package for the game, so I dont think that it is a problem with the disc, at least i hope not. I also put another disc into the DVD drive and it recognised it and began autoplay. Is there anything else I can do? I am running XP on a Dell Dimension 4550, the DVD drive has not been replaced. |

Re: DVD Drive
Hi, welcome to TSF
I think Jade Empire comes on a dual layer DVD (8GB). Check the back of the box or the manual to confirm this. If your DVD drive is only single layer (4GB), it won't be able to read the game disc.

Re: DVD Drive
A good quality dual layer combo CD/DVD drive will be about $25-30US. Do you want IDE or SATA, black or beige?
Example: Lite-On Black SATA dual layer - $28US
