Mistake Front Panel Problem

Hey
I am having problems with my pc's front panel
1 The mic doesn't work
2 When I am transfering some data to a pendrive using front usb ports the speakers connected to front panel make some weird noise



Please Help !

Check your motherboard manual to see how to correctly connect the front panel wires to the motherboard connectors.

I had the front panel installed in my PC CASE
So i don't have any model#
But It came with a paper depicting to connect the pins like:


FRONT PANEL | MOTHERBOARD
Mic-in | MIC2
GND | AGND
L-OUT BLINE_OUT_L
L-RET | LINE_OUT_L
R-OUT | BLINE_OUT_R
R-RET | LINE_OUT_R

Also my motherboarD is ASUS P5GC-MX/1333
My pc case mosel is NAVTECH- 929K

Do you have an option in your BIOS to use either AC'97 or HD audio for your front panel?

If you do, switch it around and see what happens.

yup it had 2 types of configurations
HD Audio
AC'97

Currently it is on Ac 97, if I switch it to Hd Audio the computer won't recognize any audio cables I Connect to it
