A Strange minitor problem.
Had my computer set up for a few weeks with a Samsung 226BW everything was fine. Then my computer started to have problems booting which was solved by fiddling with the leads at the back.
However, today it didn't matter what I did the computer would not boot. I started to unplug everything and it appears that the computer would only boot when the monitor was unplugged. But when the computer did boot I then plugged the monitor in but got a blank screen. I have now swapped the monitor for a Samsung 2433BW and it is working fine and the 226BW is working fine on another computer. What is causing this? Can a monitor for some reason stop a computer from booting? Why would the monitor stop working on one computer but be fine on another? I'm baffled and would appreciate some help :) |

what are you running
video card cpu m/board ram power supply brand wattage check the listings in the bios for voltages and temperatures and post them
