PS2 Mouse with USB Adapter
Hi Friends,
Recently my mouse gave away and i had to look for a new one. Luckily i had a brand new iBall Blue Eye in my stash. (which i had purchased right before i got my DELL desktop, which unfortunately doesnt have any PS2 port.) So i kept the mouse away for some years. Now that i need a replacement for my dead mouse. I got a USB to PS/2 adapter. It's the one with 2 adapters in one (one for Keyboard and one for Mouse) Ok so i plug my PS/2 mouse in the socket of the adapter. Then i plug the adapter in the USB port. The mouse worked fine. (the PC was ON during this) Next morning i start my PC and find that the mouse is not moving. it was powered though. Wonder what's gone wrong. I tried a few things like plugging just the adapter first and then plug the PS/2 mouse in it. Sometimes it works. But never on it's own when i first start the PC. I'm on Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit. DELL Dimension E520 Please let me know if there's a way around this thing. Thanks AAKASH.
