OS: Windows XP HE 2002 SP2

PLEAAAASE!! Need help with LIKE CUTTER/PLOTTER - can't set up on PC

Hi there - I am using Windows XP HE 2002 SP2.

Right - here's the problem. I recently bought a LIKE cutter/plotter and I decided to save money and go for a Japanese one but now I'm wishing I hadn't!

I got with it CUTTING MASTER program a BLUE USB KEY DRIVER THING and a RS232 to USB CABLE. I have installed all these bits fine but the plotter just isn't registering. I thought it would register as a printer but this isn't the case.

There are some instructions with the plotter but they have been translated SO badly that I don't know what the hell is going on!

It told me to go the My Computer>Device Manager> then select COM 2 (there was only COM 4 there, so I just selected that) it then says to change it to COM14 so i did that, then it starts saying something about opening the properite on USB2.0 and something something I dunno - crazy broken English. USB2.0 isn't even showing up - the only thing in my PORT section is USB SERIAL PORT (COM14).

PLEASE!!!! Doesn anyone know what the heck I should be doing? I am lost, frustrated and pulling my hair out.
