HP Director software problem for HP Scanjet 5550c scanner

I reviewed HP Redirector software and confirmed that user can send emails. I found and confirmed the correct setting to change the way that scanned documnets are saved. The correct file saving option is chosen for saving multiple scanned pages to a sinl=gle PDF file. The problem is each scanned page is saved as a separate PFD file when sending a scaned file via email, and therefore becomes mutliple attachments when emailing. This causes the total size of the documnets to be too large (over 2 MB) to send via email. When the scanned document is save straight to a file, instaead of being emailed, it save all pages correctly to one PDF file. I have encountered this problem with more than one user. I believe this is a glitch in teh software.

Has anyone had this problem and found a resolution?
