Memory upgrading?
I wonder, is it enough to just match MB and speed or should they ideally be the same make, too?

Hi,
The answer to your question is not so easy. Yes, there are times when a match the speed and mb of the chip makes it work just fine. In fact, some times mixing also works in these areas. However, it is always best to match what you have to more likely assure success and then it is not always guaranteed that they chips will work together. Matching brand names just assures you of a bigger chance for success. That is my opinion on this issue. |
