Need help installing DVD writer...
I opened the computer and plugged the power cord into the dvd writer and plugged the ribbon thing and the 4 coloured cord too. But it doesnt work...
And now my CD writer doesnt work either.... I was reading the instructions, but sooooo confused. I think it has something to do with slave and master for the ribbon. I could take pics if that helps. Extremely simple terminology much appreciated. |

the end plug is master
the middle plug is slave you have to set the jumper on the back of the drive to the correct position there is a diagram of the jumper settings on the top of the drive above the jumpers |
