Flat Panel Flickering

The other day I had just finished watching "The Village" and I turned on all of my lights and I turned my computer monitor back on and there was this strange little flickering going on like the monitor was about to go out. The monitor stopped flickering after about 5 minutes but when I woke up this morning and turned on my monitor again it started to flicker again. My monitor is a 17" flat panel Pixo AT700S and I have had it for about 3 years and it has been a little dull lately too. Any ideas?

Yep, sounds like the fluorescent backlight is dying. With deals for $200 or so on new 17" LCD monitors, I don't see this as being cost effective to fix...
