Looking to buy a DVD-RW drive

So, I wondered if anyone had any suggestions on manufacturers and decent prices. Bear in mind I'm in the UK, and converting prices gives me a headache, breaks me out in cold sweat, and last time I passed out and whacked my head off the desk. Now I see things.

... So, any help would be greatly appreciated. And just to clarify something, would a DVD-RW drive be able to write to bog-standard CDs, or just DVDs.
The matter's mostly academic, but that'll be the deciding factor over whether to use a 3rd bay or replace one of my other drives.
And using a 3rd bay means I'll have to muck about with changing the CPU fan-speed knob to use an AGP bay, and I can't unscrew the blasted thing - It's held in place by paperclips.

I ramble, and the night, she scares me.

Hi. I dont know about the currency exchange thing but-- I just bought a Sony DVDR at newegg. com and the price cant be beat for the quality. It is 88.50 there and I can buy it locally here for 129.00, so quite a deal. They are great with returns and shipping, so I would recommend them. Also, this burns dvds and cds. Just like your basic cd burner but also burns dvds!! Here is a link to the one I bought and I would recommend it. Cant beat Sony I dont think. Comes with the nero software also, and that is worth a bunch right there. Just a note too-I was told to buy only dvd -, not dvd+. Oh well, hope I helped, and here is that link.

Newegg is great, but unfortunately they don't ship internationally. If you can find anything from BenQ or IOMagic (I bought a repackaged BenQ drive labelled as a IO in November for 50 dollars- approximately 27 pounds), you'd probably have success with that.

How Ironic that I only get suggestions after buying a drive.

Anyway, I was warned off Sony drives - Seems a lot of people I know, having had them, have had them pack up. Twice in some cases.
Anyway, I heard good things about LiteOn, it was the cheapest I found, so I bought one of them.

I've also heard good things about LiteOn- I'm sure you'll do just fine with any drive. It usually either works or doesn't, and you'll know after the first disc burnt which one you have.
