magnetic fields and so forth - speakers and phone

I'm assuming that it would be okay to have a cell phone charging 15 centimetres or so away from some Logitec speakers. They should have been mganetically shielded or whatever right? They're won't be any damage??

I'm probably just paranoid but I thought I should check

Yeah i doubt a phone could do any damage to speakers. However - maybe you've seen it before if you ever had your cellphone sitting close to a monitor and somebody called the screen startet flickering/ getting all distorted etc.
- the magnetic field from a cellphone can actually negatively influence the sensitive electronic components in the monitor. Thats one place to keep a phone away from.

Actually i am not sure. I have one right here that i have to bring back to the store in a week - i'll to some testing with my cellphone and see what happens. Maybe someone else knows more about the influence of magnetic fields on LCD screens....

AFAIK, there is no magnetic effect on LCD screens. I have a pretty powerful magnet here on the edge of mine, it doesn't change what I see at all.
