Dell monitor is Black, but still working
Hi everyone, I have an Acer ASPIRE one laptop (the one with the tiny screen and keyboard)
My old Dell computer is so old and it ran so slow, I decided to hook the screen, the mouse, and keyboard up to the Laptop. Everything has been working fine for the last month or so. Now all of a sudden the Dell monitor has decided to quit on me. The Monitor is one I added on, a much better one then what came with my computer. It's a Dell 19" Model# E196FPf. It still start, and shows the start up screen, and I can still access the buttons on the monitor, and change settings that way. Whenever I try and switch the video from my laptop monitor to my 19" monitor, the screen runs through the "Auto config" ( it displays this on the screen) and then goes black, but still lit up. I have set all the monitor settings back to normal, and have it turned off. I'll let it sit for a while and try it again. Any help would be appreciated. Should I just bite the bullet and get a new monitor? Again? -Shawn |
