Help with LCD monitor

Hello,

The problem is that I get these random lines and spoilt pixels on my LG flatron wide LCD after running the computer for more than 20mins. I've been using this computer for 7 months without a glitch, but suddenly these things started occuring while playing OpposingFronts(COH). I'm using a radeon X1950 Pro on my windows XP, and now these odd occurences are appearing even without playing graphic intense games. I've got some samples screen shots of the problem of the first 20 mins. Its gets worse while in game. Some enlightenment to the problem is greatly appreciated. A solution to the problem would be fantastic =)

Re: Help with LCD monitor

Hi, welcome to TSF

It looks like your graphics card is overheating or has already been damaged beyond repair. You could try blowing any dust out of the case and replacing the graphics fan and thermal paste, but I think you'd be better off buying a new card.

I had the same problem with my X1950Pro during hot weather. The artifacts were like yours for a few days, then started to get worse and the card died soon after. Do you get flashing lines or random characters in BIOS or during system startup (POST)?
