[SOLVED] Front usb port problem

ok i built my new computer last month i had a few problems with the speekers i had as they didnt work with my pc but that is beside the point, today i was given course work for my college and i have to complete it i have it all on my usb memory stick which when i pluged into my computer on the front panel it did not work, at first i thought it might be the usb stick it's self but no i plugged it in at the back and it works fine now this is not a problem for the one off but i will be getting annoyed by the fact that i have to reach round my computer every time i wont to put my memory stick in.

if you could help me out that would be great

Re: Front usb port problem

Make sure the connector fron the front usb to the motherboard is connected properly.
Check your bios there could be a setting to turn additional usb ports on

Re: Front usb port problem

from the front of your computer there should be a couple wires at least coming from it.

your pwr button, rseet button, and HHD activity light.
and wire should be the usb wire that goes to a blue socket with 7 pins
the red one should be for Firewire
