Possible motherboard issue
I currently have a system completely disassembled on my kitchen table because I'm working on a cooling mod for my computer. I decided to test it first using a bunch of old parts I had laying around my garage. So I rigged everything up on my kitchen table, but it doesn't start up. The mobo I used has no switch, so I used a jumper to try to start it up, but the light on the mobo flashes, and the processor fan gives about 1 spin, and then stops, and then nothing. I can't get anything to work. All the parts worked just fine in the original computers they were in, but for some reason I can't get them working now.
Help would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by Sunstriker7; 02-19-2009 at 02:33 PM. |

Re: Possible motherboard issue
My CPU has both a female power connector, and a male connector. I plugged in the male one, but there isn't a place for the other one, is that an issue? BTW, I'm using really old stuff, the processor I'm using is 800MHz
