Question MAG Innovision Model DX-1595, a pale blue colored screen

There from Richmond VA

I've got a MAG Innovision DX-1565 on Ati 3D Rage (atir 3) (please note this information was gathered from the control panel under the Display icon) It fluctuates between a "normal white" screen to a pale pastel blue color. I have not a clue as to why this is happening.

I've checked all connections, plugged and replugged--all is secure. My OS is Win98 SE and when trying to get to the MAG website--its up for sale! At least that's what appears under the search for "Mag Technology" and clicking on all available links to get there from Google.

In order to use the monitor, I've found it must be set at 1024 by 768 pixels as opposed to the 800 by 600 pixels that most monitors use. I've tried the 800x600 setting and the bottom of the screen is so distorted, you can read nothing and the lower half of the screen appears to "wrap" underneath itself and bow out at the sides. Could this have anything to do with this pale blue color?

This is the second monitor for me in 4 years-(both used and freebies ) The first, GATEWAY, displayed a pale neon green color after being infected with both trojan horses and 3 worms thanks to an expired Norton subscription.

The very instant I signed onto the internet..BAMM! They were waiting for me. Eventually, all disinfecting, everything possible, yielded nothing. Prior to shipping it to my brother.in.law for disinfection, upgrades, etc, the very last time I turned it on, the monitor's pale neon color appeared.

I was told to junk it which I did. Now I'm using a late model (around 98) Dell tower of which this MAG monitor came with it. I'm truly at a loss. In lieu of a pale green neon screen, I'm now dealing with this pastel blue colored one.

As additional info, the only thing that has been installed as far as hardware goes, is a US Robitics CPI-I Modem Driver #5660. All was successful with the installation.

This is my first day here and I'm hoping I posted correctly and gave the necessary information so this problem can be resolved for me. Please let me know if I posted incorrectly and if information is lacking.

I can't thank you enough for your help and advice. Have a good one!

Good idea Dai but unfortunately, being the "new kid" in the neighborhood doesn't look very promising at the moment. Also, the majority of my friends are out of the city. We've just had an Alberta Clipper blow through here leaving snow and ice on the roads with a second one due this weekend here in Richmond.

I'm going to work on that idea though, its a good one! Thanks Dai! I'll keep ya posted.
