Optical Drives not working
Well I have two optical drives, one DVD drive as my master and a CD Burner as my slave. Now they both show up in BIOS, and while my computer POSTs, and in My Computer in Windows (XP Pro SP2) but they can't read anything! No matter what cd/dvd I throw in, they can't read it, whether it be an original or backup copy. I've fiddled around with their jumper settings trying a Master/Slave config, then a Cable Select config, with no luck. I've tried at least three different IDE cables, round and flat ribbons; still nothing. I just got a new mobo, and prior to the switch the drives were working perfectly, it was only after I got my new mobo that they stopped being able to read discs. Anyone have any suggestions?
