BSOD on boot up of games
Hi all
Sorry if this is in the wrong place first of all :/ Recently i upgraded from a 8600GT to a 9800GT 512mb, I installed the drivers and everything was working fine and i was happy to see no lower than 100fps in GTR2. Now my Dad also uses the PC to game as well, he plays GTR2 and Race 07. The other night he was on GTR2. he came off and i then logged me into my side of the PC (windows xp by the way). I logged in, did the usual check mail, msn for a bit before i then went to go on GTR2. But before the intro came on or the boot up as some may call it, i got the blue screen of death and the PC reboots within half a second of all this happening. I thought it was something a little odd so i tried again when i logged back in. The same thing happend, i then tried it with NFS, Race 07, CoH, and America's Army, but all the same issue. I then made a new log in and everything works fine on there too, boots up perfect. See i would make a new log in, but its a pain in the *** to move all the files i got on my side of the PC. So that will be my last resort. So is they a more easier and logical way to resolve this issue, like a config issue at all ? Thanks in Advance. Brad. |
